3. Data collection on our website

Cookies
Internet sites commonly use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. They are used to make our internet presence more user-friendly, efficient and secure. Cookies are small text files which are placed on your computer and stored by your browser.

All the cookies we use are so-called „session cookies“. They are deleted automatically after your visit to the site.

You can set your browser in such a way that you are informed about the placing of cookies or that you can permit cookies only on a case-by-case basis, deactivate the acceptance of cookies for special cases or altogether and you can activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Please be advised that deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies required for the handling of electronic communication processes or for providing certain functions requested by you (e.g. cart function) will be stored in accordance with Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. fDSGVO (German General Data Protection Regulation). The website operator has a justified interest in the storage of cookies for the technically flawless and optimized provision of their services. If other cookies (e.g. cookies used for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored these will be dealt with separately in this data protection declaration.

Server log files
The provider of the sites automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files which your browser automatically sends to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of accessing computer
  • Time of server request
  • IP-address

A merger of these data with other data sources is not carried out.

The basis for processing data is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Social Media
On our site you will find various social media buttons, such as Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. These buttons are only links to the corresponding social media appearances. No data are transferred to these social media providers during your visit to our website. Only when you click on one of the buttons the page of the corresponding social media service will be opened in a separate window and you will be forwarded to it.

Contact Form If you submit inquiries to us via the contact form, the information you provide (name, possibly company, destination country, email, address, phone number, etc.) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered into the contact form is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or on a contractual/pre-contractual measure (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time – if the processing is based on consent, a simple informal notification by email to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular, retention periods – remain unaffected.

Our legitimate interest, as defined by the GDPR, is the optimization of our online offerings and our web presence. Since we value the privacy of our visitors, data that may allow a connection to an individual person, such as IP address, login, or device identifiers, is anonymized or pseudonymized as early as possible. No further use, such as combining with other data or sharing with third parties, takes place.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. The website operator receives various usage data, such as IP address, page views, time spent on the site, operating systems used, and the user’s origin. Google may combine this data into a profile, which is associated with the respective user or their device.

We may also use Google Analytics to record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks. Additionally, Google Analytics uses various modeling approaches to supplement the collected data and employs machine learning technologies in data analysis. Google Analytics uses technologies that allow the recognition of the user for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time. Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

Browser Plugin You can prevent Google from collecting and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. You can disable this feature at any time in your Google account’s ad settings, or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics, as explained in the section “Objection to Data Collection.”
